Opening of New Facility
( CHICAGO , IL ) – Stampede Meat, Inc.,
producer of customized meat products announced the opening of a new
processing plant and corporate
headquarters in Bridgeview , IL .
The 140,000 square foot facility will
allow Stampede to add new capabilities
and increase overall volume in response to their growth within the retail and foodservice markets.
“We are very excited about the new benefits this plant will bring to our production”, says Edward Ligas, President of Stampede Meat. “The plant has the very latest in technology. The production flow has been designed for maximum flexibility and efficiency.”
The facility was completed both on time and on budget by The Milord Company Contractors and Engineers. The village of Bridgeview , LaSalle Bank and TCF Bank supported the project. Mayor of Bridgeview, Steve M. Landeck stated “We are very excited about the economic benefits this new facility will create in Bridgeview.” During the search for a location, one of Stampede Meat's main goals was to find property in the area in which the majority of their employees reside. Almost all employees have remained with the company since the transition.
The new plant has the latest in sanitation technology that will keep Stampede Meat's food safety program one of the most stringent in their industry. The walls and drains are stainless steel. A walk-on ceiling conceals all utilities above the production floor. “This new plant gives us the opportunity to provide our high quality beef and pork products to a larger base of customers” notes Ligas.
